What is Canine Swimming?
Swimming for dogs is the use of water to help keep them in shape mentally and physically. From a preventative perspective, swimming is great for fitness, body conditioning, and a great source of exercise that is low impact on the bones and joints. Swimming also helps with recovering from surgery and illness. The water reduces gravity on your dogs body, which creates a much safer environment for exercising. Swimming allows for a dogs muscles to be stimulated and exercised without the stress. Swimming offers a dog a fun relaxed workout.

Swimming is great for any dog that needs to achieve a state of well-being. Swimming can help with improving circulation, muscle strength, flexibility, endurance and a much stronger heart. It is wonderful for dogs who are recovering from an injury, dogs that are paralyzed and also dogs suffering from degenerative joint disease. Swimming is also great for dogs that have arthritis due to aging or that have hip dysplasia, fractures, neurological disorders or even an amputation of a limb.

Your dog will love learning to swim. We make it fun and safe by providing life jackets for them until they are advanced enough to swim without them. They get to chase toys in the pool as they learn activities such as entering and exiting the pool safely. We stay right with your dog so they feel safe when they are learning all about the water. We also provide towels to dry your pet before they head home in your car.

Monday thru Friday by Appointment. Closed on weekends.
- Where are you located?

We are located in Hoover, Alabama (a suburb of Birmingham, Alabama). We also offer to come to you and train in your pool with your dog.
- Is an appointment needed?

All sessions are by appointment only.
Veterinarian referral required.
- What payment options do you accept?

We except Cash, Checks and Venmo App for payments. If this does not work for you, please contact us and we will work out a payment option for you.
- How long is the typical appointment?

When you arrive we will talk to you for a few minutes and get your dog in a life jacket, if needed. Then the swim time lasts 30 minutes. We have a drying station set up for you to dry off your dog after the swimming session. Your will probably be here around 45 minutes or less.
- Do you have a cancellation policy?

We understand things happen. Please just let us know 48 Hours before your appointment time. Any appointment canceled less than 48 hours before your session is charged your session fee.
